Prayer for today - Veterans Day

I remember this day Lord Jesus, the demonstration of Your great love by the way You laid down Your life to save the world from the wages of sins and death. I honor and praise Your holy name as the mighty Victor and Savior of the world who defeated the powers of evil and darkness at the cross of Calvary. I also thank You for the men and women in our arm forces who sacrificed their lives for our country, family, religious rights, and freedom. We salute the brave who have followed in Your footsteps by risking all to save the helpless. Holy Spirit, lead Veterans across my path today that I need to personally acknowledge and thank for their service and sacrifice. Remind me to say, “Thank you for your great love for our country and others which has great value in the eyes of God and me.” In Jesus’ mighty name.
