REST: You will experience rest by trusting on God's power - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NIV

Worship & Prayer

Sovereign LORD, Yours is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. You are the Almighty God who reigns over. I ask for forgiveness for the times I have relied on people for wisdom or help instead of trusting in You. Holy Spirit, please teach me to rest in God's power by immediately turning to Him in prayer when I face personal hardships. Please guide me today to someone who is facing a mountain of fear and doubt because they are relying on the created instead of the Creator. Help me demonstrate God's power through acts of kindness rather than persuasive words. I pray for a miraculous breakthrough as they cry out to God, who moves the mountains and performs the impossible for those who love Him. I pray in the mighty name of JESUS!

CHRIST: Christ is the reason you are right with God and free from sin - 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

It is God who has made you part of Christ Jesus. And Christ has become for us wisdom from God. He is the reason we are right with God and pure enough to be in His presence. Christ is the One who set us free from sin. So, as the Scriptures say, “Whoever boasts should boast only about the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 ERV

Infallible Truth: "So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority." Colossians 2:10; "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

Praise & Prayer
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for making me a partaker of Christ Jesus. I worship and praise you, Lord Jesus, for being my wisdom, righteousness, purity, and Savior from sin. You are the sole reason for my existence and I testify that you are the only one who makes my life complete. Please guide me, Holy Spirit, to someone today who is hurting and feels completely broken. Use my empathy to open the eyes of their heart, helping them to trust in God by believing in Christ Jesus, who changes everything and makes our lives complete. I pray in Jesus' mighty name for their salvation. Amen.

SOMEBODY: God chooses the nobodies and turns them into somebodies! 1 Corinthians 1:26-28

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 MSG

Praise & Prayer
Lord God, it's amazing to me to see throughout history how You choose the ignorant, weak, poor, rejected, and nobodies of this world and transform them into somebodies. I feel so honored to be chosen by You and praise You for giving me a life filled with eternal purpose and living hope in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for loving me, saving me, and choosing me to be on Your team. I am grateful for Your everlasting love and surrender my life into Your loving hands. Please shape and use me for Your honor and glory. Fill me, Holy Spirit, with power from on high as I go forth today to share with others the great things God and Christ Jesus do with the nobodies of this world. Hallelujah!

CHRIST: Christ is the mighty power of God to save you - 1 Corinthians 1:24

But God has opened the eyes of those called to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, to see that Christ is the mighty power of God to save them; Christ Himself is the center of God’s wise plan for their salvation. 1 Corinthians 1:24 TLB

Praise & Prayer
Holy Father, I praise You for opening my eyes to see that Christ alone is all that I need and all that my heart desires. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being the center of my life, who is my wisdom, my mighty power, and my salvation. Use me this day, Holy Spirit, to impart spiritual gifts of power to the weak and the good news of salvation to the lost by pointing them to Christ Jesus our Savior. Hosanna [save now], in His mighty name.

BELIEVE: God saves those who believe - 1 Corinthians 1:21

For God in His wisdom made it impossible for people to know Him by means of their own wisdom. Instead, by means of the so-called “foolish” message we preach, God decided to save those who believe. 1 Corinthians 1:21 GNT

Infallible Truth: "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9; "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26; "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13.

Prayer & Praise
God of my salvation, I come with gratefulness to declare my belief in Jesus Christ and publicly confess Him as my LORD. Thank You for making salvation possible for all humanity by believing in Your beloved Son. Lord Jesus, I praise You for sacrificing Your life on the cross to save me from the wages of sin, death, and eternal condemnation. Please lead me, Holy Spirit, to a person who is endeavoring to know God by their own wisdom and thinks that the message we preach about Jesus is foolish. Convict their heart to repent and believe what God says in the Bible about Christ Jesus. I pray for their salvation in the mighty name of Jesus.

POWER: The message of the cross is the power of God - 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 NIV

Eternal Truth: "And He Himself [Christ] bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed." 1 Peter 2:24; "But it's unthinkable that I could ever brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. By His cross my relationship to the world and its relationship to me have been crucified." Galatians 6:14.

Praise & Prayer
I glory in the message of the cross, LORD God, which has powerfully transformed my life and given sinners like me the hope of eternal life. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for going to the cross to destroy the power of sin, death, and darkness. You are the reason I'm alive today. Holy Spirit, please guide me to someone today who is lost, hurting, and lonely. Open their ears to hear the message of the cross, which is the power of God to all who believe in Christ Jesus and confess Him as their Lord. I pray for their salvation in the mighty name of Jesus. 

SENT: You are sent by Christ to preach the gospel - 1 Corinthians 1:17

For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel (Good News); and even my preaching sounds poor, for I do not fill my sermons with profound words and high-sounding ideas, for fear of diluting the mighty power there is in the simple message of the cross of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:17 LB

Praise & Prayer
Lord Jesus, I am blessed and honored to be a messenger of Your Good News. I've seen with my own eyes how the Gospel has the mighty power to transform the lives of people as the Good News has done for me. Holy Spirit, please fill me with fearless courage to preach the message of the cross of Christ in simple ways that draw the lost, sick, depressed, and broken to faith in my Savior. Help me this day to show that Jesus lives in me so I'm given the opportunity to share the Good News with the poor and needy who long to be saved. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus.
