PROSPER: "It is the Lord who prospers you so that you may prosper others." 1 Samuel 18:5

So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and he acted wisely and prospered; and Saul appointed him over the men of war. And it pleased all the people and also Saul’s servants. 1 Samuel 18:5

Praise & Prayer:
As I read this verse about David’s prosperity, Lord God, I am deeply aware that all my successes in the marketplace and my accomplishments in life are God-given. I ask that Your amazing grace continue to crown my life, enabling me to act wisely so I may abound in doing good to family members, friends, or strangers You place within my circle of influence. Strengthen my faith and guide me, Holy Spirit, as You guided David, so that I may bring honor to our Lord Jesus Christ in all that I say and do. Grant me the opportunity today to be a blessing to someone and to contribute to their prosperity, just as Christ, my Savior, has graciously prospered me. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name.

TRIUMPHANT: "The Lord Jesus helps you be triumphant." 1 Samuel 17:50

So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand, he struck down the Philistine and killed him. 1 Samuel 17:50

Praise & Prayer:
I rejoice in the truth of this Scripture, Lord Jesus, and celebrate Your magnificent triumph over our enemies at the cross of Calvary—without a sword in Your hand. Thank You for choosing a young shepherd boy like David, who was perceived as feeble, and transforming him into a courageous conqueror because he was a man after God’s own heart. Teach me, Holy Spirit, to have unwavering faith in God and to believe, as David did, that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me. Remind me that I am triumphant over giants I face today, not by relying on my own strength or talents, but by trusting in my mighty Savior and LORD, Jesus Christ. I go forth today in His wonderful name. Amen.

SALVATION: "The Lord Almighty saves you." 1 Samuel 17:47

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give all of you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47

Praise & Prayer:
No giant is greater than the God I serve! I praise and worship You, Lord Almighty, for being the God of my salvation. I am inspired by David’s words: “The whole world will know that there is a God in Israel who saves, not by sword or spear.” Use me, Holy Spirit, to share this wonderful truth of salvation and ultimate victory with someone who is battling a physical or spiritual giant that is causing them to tremble with fear and doubt. Grant them a victory, Lord Jesus, and save them as we pray and call upon Your mighty name. Hosanna in the highest!

RESCUED: The LORD will rescue you from every giant." 1 Samuel 17:37

But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine. 1 Samuel 17:34-37

Prayer:
No matter what giants You permit me to face, Lord Jesus, I will proclaim as David did: “The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Whenever fear or insecurity arises in my mind or heart, please remind me of the many times You have rescued me in the past. Abba Father, fill my heart with steadfast hope that my Savior will come to my rescue whenever I encounter overwhelming challenges. Holy Spirit, strengthen my faith in the living God so that I may face and defeat every giant that rises against me this day. I ask this in the mighty name of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

FAITH: "Don't lose heart, the Lord will fight for you." 1 Samuel 17:32

David asked the men standing near him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” 1 Samuel 17:26,32

Praise & Prayer:
My heart is filled with hope, Lord Jesus, as I hear David’s words: “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.” Thank You for rising up to fight the giant enemy, the devil, on my behalf at the cross and winning the victory for all who trust in You! Thank You for removing the disgrace from my life. Please pray for me so that my faith will not fail or lose heart when I face the Goliaths You have already defeated for me. Use me this day, Holy Spirit, to help strengthen the faith of my family members and friends. I bow in Your presence, Holy Father, and thank You for Jesus Christ, our Glorious Victor, Wonderful Savior, and Mighty King, who is worthy to receive all honor and majesty. Amen and amen!

PRESENT: "The Lord's presence is always with you." 1 Samuel 16:18

One of the servants said to Saul, “One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that—he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine-looking young man, and the LORD is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:18

Prayer & Praise:
It is Your presence in my life, Lord Jesus, that I desire, need, and treasure above every earthly relationship. Heavenly Father, I praise You for staying with me even when I fail and for promising never to leave or forsake me, just as Your presence was evident in David’s life. Help me grow, Holy Spirit, into a talented, brave warrior of Christ with sound judgment. Fill my heart with assurance that no one and nothing in all creation can ever separate me from God’s everlasting love revealed in Christ Jesus, my Lord. Hallelujah and amen!

HEART: The LORD looks at your heart - 1 Samuel 16:7

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

Prayer:
Loving Father, as I reflect on this Scripture, I’m reminded that You see beyond outward appearances and look at the desires and intentions of my heart. Please deliver me, Lord Jesus, from the snares of our society that places great value on physical beauty, Hollywood fame, material wealth, and the praise of others. Holy Spirit, stop me in my tracks whenever I begin to compare myself with others or measure my worth by the standards of this world. Guard me from ever believing that my worth depends on what others see, say, or think about me. Remind me that my value is found in having a heart for God and in being a servant of Jesus Christ. Give me Your eyes, Lord Jesus, so I see people as You see them and not judge them by their appearance or by the things that people deem important. Grant me an opportunity this day to demonstrate Your heart of compassionate care to someone who is forgotten and feels worthless. I ask this in Your precious name.
