REWARDS: "The LORD rewards you for doing good." 1 Samuel 26:23

The Lord rewards everyone for doing good and being loyal. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, and I refused to kill you even when the LORD placed you in my power, for you are the LORD’s anointed one. As surely as I valued your life today, so may the Lord value my life and deliver me from all trouble.” 1 Samuel 26:23-24

Prayer & Praise:
Please teach me, Lord Jesus, to reflect Your heart of goodness, as David did, by refusing to repay evil with evil, even when I have the right to retaliate. Just as You triumphed over the powers of evil through Your sacrificial death on the cross, strengthen me to overcome evil by doing good and to remain faithful to You. I go forth today with a heart full of gratitude for the value You place on my life. Help me see and value others as You do. My eyes are fixed on You, my Exceedingly Great Reward and my Deliverer from trouble. I pray this in Your mighty name and give You all the glory.

INHERITANCE: "Cling to the Lord, who is your inheritance." 1 Samuel 26:19

Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that God has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering. But if it is from human beings, they are cursed before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day that I shouldn't cling to the LORD's inheritance, saying, 'Go, serve other gods.' 1 Samuel 26:19

Praise & Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are my first love and everlasting inheritance, to whom I cling. Heavenly Father, please fill me with faith like David’s so that I may learn to keep trusting You, especially when the devil's lies or the words of unbelievers who oppose me seek to fill me with doubt and drive me away from You. Holy Spirit, do not allow hardship or opposition to crush my faith or draw me away from God's presence. Lift me out of discouragement and strengthen my resolve to keep trusting in God, who curses the wicked and makes all things right. I ask this in Jesus’ mighty name.

FULFILLED: "The LORD will fulfill every good thing He promised you." 1 Samuel 25:30

When the Lord has fulfilled for my lord every good thing he promised concerning him and has appointed him ruler over Israel, my lord will not have on his conscience the staggering burden of needless bloodshed or of having avenged himself. And when the Lord your God has brought my lord success, remember your servant. 1 Samuel 25:30-31

Prayer & Praise:
My heart is filled with praise and gratitude, LORD God, because I believe Your promises, which never fail. As I read Your living Word, I am constantly reminded of how You have fulfilled and will fulfill every good promise You have made to us in Your Son, Christ Jesus. All Your promises are “Yes” and “Amen” in Him. As Abigail’s wise counsel kept David from needless bloodshed and revenge, please let Your Holy Spirit restrain me whenever anger tempts me to act rashly or take matters into my own hands. Teach me, Holy Spirit, to wait patiently on the LORD, as David did, by praying and trusting Him to grant me success. I ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. 

ETERNAL TRUTH:
"God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19

SAFE: "Your life is safe in the care of the LORD." 1 Samuel 25:29

Even when you are chased by those who seek your soul, your life is safe in the care of the LORD your God, secure in His treasure pouch!  But the lives of your enemies will disappear like stones shot from a sling! 1 Samuel 25:29

Prayer & Praise:
I believe the truth proclaimed by Abigail, LORD God: "My life is safe in Your care." Even when the devil or others seek to harm me, I will not surrender to fear, for You hold my life securely as a treasured possession. I praise You, my Good Shepherd, for being the Guardian of my soul. No matter what light and momentary afflictions I may suffer in the flesh, I am filled with hope, knowing that I belong to You! Holy Spirit, please strengthen my faith to trust in God’s protection, especially when I am hated or persecuted for being a follower of Jesus Christ. Help me to stand strong in the LORD against the principalities and forces of darkness that Jesus, my Savior, defeated through His death and resurrection at the cross of Calvary. I ask this in His mighty name.

FORGIVEN: The LORD will forgive your offenses - 1 Samuel 25:28

"Please forgive the offense of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make a strong dynasty for your majesty, for your majesty is fighting the LORD's battles. May evil not be found in you for all of your life." 1 Samuel 25:28

Prayer:
I come into Your presence, Lord Jesus, with a contrite heart. Please forgive my offenses and cleanse me from all unrighteousness with Your precious blood. Like Abigail, teach me to lay aside my pride and fear so that I may take responsibility for my actions and not make excuses. Holy Spirit, convict my mind and heart to seek and ask for forgiveness from anyone I may have hurt or offended. Heavenly Father, I trust Your living Word, which says that when I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive them and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I ask this in the majestic and mighty name of Jesus Christ, my Savior.

REWARDED: “The LORD will reward your goodness.” 1 Samuel 24:19

When David finished saying this, Saul asked, “Is that your voice, David, my son?” And he wept aloud. “You are more righteous than I,” he said. “You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly. You have just now told me about the good you did to me; the Lord delivered me into your hands, but you did not kill me. For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away safely? May the LORD therefore reward you with good in return for what you have done to me this day. 1 Samuel 24:16-19

Prayer:
Surely, Your goodness and mercy, LORD God, shall follow me all the days of my life, and I look forward to dwelling in Your house forever. Lord Jesus, as David showed mercy by sparing Saul, please give me Your strength to let go of resentment and anger that weigh down my spirit and rob me of Your perfect peace. Thank You for rewarding me with Your goodness and mercy that run after me when I least deserve them. Help me to model Your heart of forgiveness, so that I may choose to be a vessel of Your love and kindness. I ask in Your precious and mighty name.

RESCUED: "The LORD will rescue you!" 1 Samuel 24:15

“May the Lord judge between us. Perhaps the Lord will punish you for what you are trying to do to me, but I will never harm you. As that old proverb says, ‘From evil people come evil deeds.’ So you can be sure I will never harm you. Who is the king of Israel trying to catch anyway? Should he spend his time chasing one who is as worthless as a dead dog or a single flea? May the Lord therefore judge which of us is right and punish the guilty one. He is my Advocate, and He will rescue me from your power!” 1 Samuel 24:12-15

Prayer:
I come before You, Abba Father, acknowledging, as David did, that You are my Advocate and righteous Judge. In times of injustice or betrayal, You alone know all things and discern truth from falsehood. Please keep me from seeking revenge and help me entrust my cause to You whenever I am wronged. Lord Jesus, I thank You for laying down Your life to rescue me from the enemy’s power. No longer do I live in the pit of fear and hopelessness. Please send the Holy Spirit to strengthen the faith of family members and friends who are under attack from the devil. Hear their prayers for help as they place their trust in You, our victorious Savior. I ask this in Your mighty name. I ask this in Your mighty name.
