Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2
Prayer
In Thy name Lord Jesus I proclaim victory over sin. Use the difficulties and sufferings in my life to help me think like You think, to walk like You walk, and to act like You act. I no longer have to be a slave to my sinful lusts for You have made me stronger and set me free from the power of sin. Wean me from my old sinful habits and teach me to live each day in freedom to pursue Your will and Your truth instead of being tyrannized by my own desires. Be glorified in me today O Lord for in Your holy name I pray
Let Thy blood, by faith applied,
The sinner's pardon seal;
Speak me freely justified,
And all my sickness heal;
By Thy passion on the tree,
Let all my griefs and troubles cease;
O remember Calvary,
And bid me go in peace!
