For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Deut. 5:9b-10

Loving Father, though I have failed You in many ways, You continue to love me and have shown me great mercy in Jesus Christ. Forgive me for the times when I have looked to people or things to satisfy me, when all that I need is in You. Thank You that You love me so much that You’re jealous over me. I draw near with confidence to the throne of Your grace, that I may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need. In the holy name of Jesus. Amen
