So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. 1 Samuel 3:19 NKJV
Devotional Prayer
Security is not the absence of danger, but the presence of God, no matter what the danger. LORD God, empower my life with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to be a faithful spokesperson like Samuel who treasures Your words in my heart. Make me an effective Christian that is secure and unashamed to share Your living words in love to the weary or lost. May Your words become flesh and be spoken through me in my workplace and school for the honor of Your name. I pray in the blessed name of Jesus Christ.

BE WITH ME LORD
Be with me, Lord, For I cannot live without Thee,
I dare not try to take one step alone.
I cannot bear the loads of life, unaided,
I need Thy strength to lean myself upon.
Be with me, Lord, and then if dangers threaten,
If storms of trial burst above my head,
If lashing seas leap everywhere about me,
They cannot harm, or make my heart afraid.
Be with me, Lord! No other gift or blessing
Thou couldst bestow could with this one compare—
A constant sense of Thy abiding presence,
Where ever I am, to feel that Thou art near.
Be with me Lord, when loneliness overtakes me,
When I must weep amid the fires of pain,
And when shall come the hour of "my departure"
For "worlds unknown," O Lord, be with me then.
