Real living-John 12:25

Today's Bible verse of encouragement gives us the secret to true life and happiness which is doing God's will. If you really want to know fullness of life that Jesus gives, you must die to your will and surrender your life into His hands. 

 

Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal. John 12:24-25 MSG

 

Today's Prayer

If I die I live. Loving Father, I'm a grain of wheat in Your hands that is willing to die so that I may be a fruit bearing Christian. Make me reckless in my love for You so I can reproduce myself and help bring lifeless souls to faith in Jesus. Thank You for reminding me that true purpose in life and lasting happiness is a result of doing Your will not my will. In Jesus' name I pray.
