Freedom from slavery- Joshua 24:17

How can I get deliverance from destructive addictions? Why do I feel like a slave to evil passions and live like a prisoner? Throughout the bible you will read how God's people were brought to slavery and bondage for one main reason, their disobedience and rebellion to the LORD's commands. Today is no different, Jesus tells us in John 8:34b NIV - "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin." The only way you will be freed from sin is by receiving the sinless Savior in your heart conquered the power of sin and sets you free. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed!

Freedom from slavery

It was the Lord our God himself who brought us and our parents up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled. Joshua 24:17 NIV

Prayer of deliverance

Sin enslaved me. Sin abused me. Sin ruined me. But Jesus saved me. Father of mercy and grace, I praise You for sending Jesus Christ to deliver me from a life of sin and destructive addictions that enslaved me for so many years. Use me this day to help deliver a soul who is a slave of sin and prisoner of the devil. In the mighty name of JESUS! Amen

To my loving and patient wife, Michele, my beloved son David, my radiant daughter-in-law Blair, my cherished son Joshua, my compassionate daughter Anna, my steadfast son-in-law, Jeff, my empathetic daughter Christina, my go-getter son-in-law Miles, my bright and persevering granddaughter, Blake, my beautiful and tenderhearted granddaughter, Zoey, my strong and handsome grandson, Wyatt, my tender-hearted and precious granddaughter Talia, my jubilant and adorable granddaughter, Romi, and to all of my caring family and faithful friends. I will consider my life a great success if I have the joy of seeing each of you in God's eternal Kingdom. I ask you to please forgive me if I've wronged any of you and did not ask for your forgiveness. I love you and pray my life has influenced each of you in a small way to believe in Christ Jesus and to accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. I'm grateful to my Lord and humbled to have experienced an abundant and full life that was only possible by abiding in Him. It's difficult to put into words just how grateful I am for God's salvation. When I was 18 years old and lost all hope, Jesus came to my rescue. I'm so thankful that I've been able to experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment I accepted Christ and decided to follow Him. The Holy Spirit has been my Helper, Teacher, Comforter, Counselor, and Guide in teaching me to be like Jesus and relying on Him, until my last breath. I fought the good fight and learned that living for God, serving Jesus, and loving people has eternal rewards and zero regrets. To live for Christ is unimaginable gain and glorifying God is what matters most in life. Apart from Jesus, nothing else made much sense to me in life, and nothing else the world offered was worthy of my life's investment. To die in Christ is not the end, it's the doorway in Eternal Life through the power of His resurrection. I'll see you in a little while and pray to see you in heaven. Hector Perez.
