Holy Scripture of the day to help conquer fear

He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid. Mark 6:48-50 NIV

Prayer for help to conquer fear through Jesus

O Lord, fill my heart with Your unfailing love that casts out ALL fear from my heart. The presence of Your love in my life helps me overcome the fear of failure; the fear of the unknown; the fear of the rejection; the fear of the future; the fear of loneliness; the fear of sickness; and the fear of death. Holy Spirit, guide me to someone today who is afraid and needs the love of Jesus to calm their fears. In Jesus' name I pray.
