He Saved Others - Mark 15:31

What does it mean that Jesus came to save others, not Himself? Learn more

Holy Scripture for today about Jesus was crucified to save others, not Himself

They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, come down from the cross and save yourself!” In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! Mark 15:27-31 NIV

Belief statement: Jesus, King of Kings, was intentional in saving me instead of Himself.

Prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus who saved others and not Himself

I'm indebted to You Lord Jesus for Your amazing love in laying down Your life to save me. You are the Savior of the world who has the power to save us from our sins, the terror of death, and everlasting condemnation. Holy Spirit, fill my heart with the passion of Jesus to save others. Bring someone across my path today who is longing for salvation and needs to hear that Jesus was crucified on the cross to save others, but Himself He did not save. In His mighty name I pray. Amen
