Once upon a time the trees decided to choose a king. First they said to the olive tree, ‘Be our king!’ But the olive tree refused, saying, ‘Should I quit producing the olive oil that blesses both God and people, just to wave back and forth over the trees?’ Judges 9:8-9

Belief: I am blessed by the Lord so I can be a blessing to others.

Prayer of the day

Give me Lord Jesus a heart of compassionate care for people. Teach me how to be a servant leader who seeks to be a blessing to God and others. Holy Spirit, deliver me from seeking power to rule over people and remind me that the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven is the servant of all. Lead someone across my path today that Jesus wants me to bless and serve. In His mighty name, I pray.
