Holy scripture of the day about The Seven Last Words of Jesus on the cross 


Below are the seven last statements in order that Jesus cried out on the cross of Calvary. Please take a few minutes to reflect on these words that will fill your heart with fullness of joy, hope, and peace.


  • THE FIRST: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."THE FIRST: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." Luke 23:34

  • THE SECOND: "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23:43

  • THE THIRD: "Jesus said to his mother: "Woman, this is your son." Then he said to the disciple: "This is your mother." John 19:26-27

  • THE FOURTH: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Matthew 27:46 | Mark 15:34

  • THE FIFTH: "I thirst." John 19:28

  • THE SIXTH: "It is finished" John 19:29-30

  • THE SEVENTH: "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." Luke 23:46

Belief: I am saved by Jesus' victory on the cross over sin and death. 

Prayer of the day 

I kneel before Your holy presence Lord Jesus to express my gratefulness for sacrificing Your life upon the cross of Calvary. Thank You for conquering the powers of sin, death, and the devil through Your death and resurrection. I embrace Your victory and confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior.
