Raise your hands to win - Exodus 17:11

Holy scripture for today about raising your hands to win the battle - Learn more about raising hands

Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning. But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down. Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle. Exodus 17:10-13 MSG

Belief: Raise your hands as a sign of surrender to God who fights your battles and gives you the victory. Read this helpful devotion

Prayer of the day | Daily Prayer of Surrender

I bow before Your holy presence Father God with raised hands as a sign of my surrender and faith in You. Like Moses, Aaron, and Hur, I'm fully aware that I can’t make it my own. Thank You for giving me godly friends who hold me up when I am tired and weak. Thank You for giving me the victory over my enemies through the Lord Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, lead me to someone today who is defeated and dejected by our enemy, the devil. Use me to help lift their spirit by praying with them and pointing them to Jesus who makes us triumphant. In His mighty name. Amen
