Prayer to be an advocate of unity

Dear Father, I know it breaks Your heart to see so much division and hate in our country. You are the Almighty God who can do the impossible in making America a nation that embraces unity so I turn to You for help. Fill me with the love of Christ Jesus that I may be an advocate and promoter of unity. Holy Spirit, give me the strength to stand against the powers of the evil one that seeks to divide, subtract and conquer. Teach me to put aside my differences and look to the greater cause, by keeping the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Unite the hearts of people in each of the seven centers of influence by helping them to turn back to God in humility. I pray in Jesus’ mighty name.
