While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Prayer for today - Jesus came to save unhealthy sinners

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for loving the riffraff and rejects of society like me that need a second chance in life. I confess that I am a sinner and there is nothing I can do to save myself. I gratefully receive Your gift of mercy and ask You to be my Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, lead me to someone today who is being tormented by the lies of the devil and feels like they have gone too far to be forgiven. Allow me to share this wonderful truth that "Jesus came to call and save sinners." I pray for their salvation and rebirth in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
