PRAISE: Let your lips shout forth praises to the Lord – Matthew 21:16

Holy scripture for today about shouting forth praises to the Lord – Learn more

But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant. “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants You, Lord, have called forth your praise’?” Matthew 21:15-16 NIV

Quote: “Does not all nature around me praise God? If I were silent, I should be an exception to the universe. Does not the thunder praise Him as it rolls like drums in the march of the God of armies? Do not the mountains praise Him when the woods upon their summits wave in adoration? Does not the lightning write His name in letters of fire? Has not the whole earth a voice? And shall I, can I, silent be? – Charles Spurgeon

Prayer and Praise for Today

No matter what circumstances or indignation I am facing, my heart shall praise God for His unfailing love. I am fully aware O LORD that if I keep silent, the trees and rocks along the road would burst into shouts of praise. I exalt and thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. You O LORD are my Light, my Salvation, my Protector, and my Hope. Holy Spirit, guide someone across my path today who feels oppressed. Use my care to help them fix their eyes upon Jesus and open their lips to praise our Almighty Savior. Amen
