HELP: In your distress cry out to the Lord who will help you - Psalm 18:6

The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into his ears. Psalm 18:4-6

Truth: "Do not fear. The Lord will never abandon you in time of trouble."

Prayer for God's help in time of distress

Who else can I turn for help in difficult times except You my LORD? No matter what trouble I am going through right now, I trust in Your unfailing promise to save me from my distress. Help me Holy Spirit to remember that it's always darkest just before the dawn appears so my faith remains unshakeable in the living God who is my salvation. Guide me to someone today who is overwhelmed with the heavy weigh of distress and needs my encouragement. Deliver them from the lies of the devil and rescue them from the snares of death as we call on the mighty name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
