Then the high priest asked Stephen, “Are these charges true?” To this, he replied: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran. ‘Leave your country and your people,’ God said, ‘and go to the land I will show you.’ “So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Harran. Praise & Prayer for God's Presence
God of glory, my soul thirsts for You, my eyes long to see You, and my spirit desires to be with You. Like Abraham and Stephen, I feel humbled and grateful for the ways You constantly appear to all those who love and obey You. Lord Jesus, I praise You for appearing to me when I was blind, lost, and being destroyed by the devil. You appeared to lift me out of the pit of darkness and brought me into Your marvelous light. Please send me this day to help somebody who feels unworthy to be loved or remembered by God. Please allow them to perceive Your glorious presence and unfailing love as we pray and call upon Your mighty name. Hossana! (save now)
