What's the meaning of Repentance? The Hebrew word for repentance is "Teshuvah," which literally means "Return." Repentance signifies a turning back to God.
Living Truth: "Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times will come when the Lord will refresh you. He will send you Jesus, whom He has appointed to be the Christ." Acts 3:19-20; "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents [Returns back to God] than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent." Luke 15:7.
Prayer & Praise
I return to You, Abba Father, with praise in my heart for being so merciful to me. Please forgive my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. I ask You to restore my soul with Your boundless love that never fails. Holy Spirit, please continue to remind me of the great privilege of serving God so that I never turn my back on Him or stop following Christ, my LORD. Allow me this day to be the Lord's spokesman to my family, friends, and those You place in my path. Stir their hearts to repent of their ways and return to God with a contrite spirit. I pray for their restoration in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, my Savior.
