- And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24;
- Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; And the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4-6;
- And He went on ahead a short distance and fell face-down and prayed, "My Father, allow this cup [i.e., of suffering] to pass away from Me if it is possible; nevertheless, let it not be what I want, but what You want for Me." Matthew 26:39
- Finally, I confessed all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Psalm 32:5
I am healed of my sins and forgiven of my transgressions by the wounds and precious blood of Jesus. My soul sings songs of joy as I reflect on Your marvelous grace and everlasting love, Lord Jesus. I kneel before Your holy presence and thank You for pouring out Your life unto death. You were willing to be crucified and numbered with transgressors like me. You willingly drank the cup of suffering on my behalf and bore the punishment of my sin in Your holy and sinless body. Like the thief on the cross, I publicly confess You as my Lord and worship You for Your sacrificial love that we will remember and praise for all eternity. Hallelujah and Amen!
