MERCY: Pray to God for mercy - Jeremiah 26:19

Then some of the respected leaders stood up and addressed the crowd: “In the reign of Hezekiah king of Judah, Micah of Moresheth preached to the people of Judah this sermon: This is God-of-the-Angel-Armies’ Message for you: “‘Because of people like you, Zion will be turned back into farmland, Jerusalem end up as a pile of rubble, and instead of the Temple on the mountain, a few scraggly scrub pines.’ “Did King Hezekiah or anyone else in Judah kill Micah of Moresheth because of that sermon? Didn’t Hezekiah honor Him and pray for mercy from God? And then didn’t God call off the disaster he had threatened? “Friends, we’re at the brink of bringing a terrible calamity upon ourselves.” Jeremiah 26:17-19

Eternal Truth: "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with Christ [the Messiah] even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!" Ephesians 2:4-5; "Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you." 1 Peter 1:3-4

Praise & Prayer
I am living proof of God's rich mercy. I praise You, Heavenly Father, for showing me great mercy and undeserved favor through my Savior, Jesus Christ. Like King Hezekiah, I want to honor You and never take Your mercy for granted. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for bearing my sins on the cross to be forgiven and saved from God's wrath that I rightly deserved. How can I ever repay You for the mercy You have shown me? Grant me an opportunity this day to be a messenger of Your marvelous mercy, like Micah and Jeremiah, to someone on the brink of a terrible calamity. Please grant them mercy and save them as we pray in Your mighty name.
