Infallible Truth:
- But don't forget this, dear friends. He isn't really being slow about His promised return, even though it sometimes seems that way. But He is waiting, for the good reason that He is not willing that any should perish, and He is giving more time for sinners to repent." 2 Peter 3:8-9
- Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:8-11
Prayer:
I am waiting every day for the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ. Despite the chaos and troubles I see in this world, I believe, Lord Jesus, that the end of sin, wickedness, and evil will come when You return. Sovereign Father, I'm filled with hope and peace, knowing that the times and seasons are under Your complete control. Thank You for Your heart of unfathomable love, that patiently waits, giving sinners more time to repent and believe in Your Son. Please help me, Holy Spirit, to be steadfast in the faith, knowing that Jesus is coming and that I will see Him with my own eyes. I ask in His mighty name.
