REMEMBERED: The Lord remembers you - 1 Samuel 1:11

Once when they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah stood up. Now Eli the priest was sitting on his chair by the doorpost of the Lord’s house. In her deep anguish, Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on Your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” 1 Samuel 1:9-11

Prayer:
Like Hannah, I come before Your holy presence, Lord Almighty, with my worries and concerns, knowing You look down on Your servant and remember me in my troubles. When the voices of doubt whisper in my ear, remember me, Lord Jesus, please do not allow doubts to nest in my mind, by immediately turning to our Heavenly Father, who favors us and hears the cries of His children as He did for Hannah. Holy Spirit, please guide someone across my path today who is in deep anguish. Use me to rekindle their faith in God, and help me be an instrument of hope by listening to them and praying with them for salvation in Jesus' mighty name.

Living Truth:
  • One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!” But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment? We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:39-43
  • "Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and loving devotion, for they are from age to age. Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my rebellious acts; remember me according to Your loving devotion, because of Your goodness, O LORD." Psalm 25:6-7
