The crown of righteousness - 2 Tim. 4:8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Timothy 4:7-8 NIV

Prayer
I have a great reward in heaven that awaits me with eternal honors for loving my Lord Jesus, righteousness and faithful service. Deliver me O Lord from the pursuit of earthly fame, vain riches and temporary pleasures that this world offers. Continue to remind me of the greater treasures that await those who love Your soon coming. Teach me how to fight the good fight of faith by seeking first Your Kingdom and purpose. Sustain me in the battles of faith and grant me courage to stand strong for You when I face opposition or persecution. Help me express Your virtues where it counts most, in the workplace and my home so I can finish the race of life in victory. In Your name I pray.
