Today's Bible Promise - "Faith and patience inherit the promises" Heb. 6:12

That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Heb. 6:12

Prayer
Deliver me Lord Jesus from being sluggish or lazy in my Christian faith. Please don't let my faith fail when I am tested or tried. Let patience have its perfect result in my life, so that I may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Teach me to have faith in Your faithful promises in time of trial. Deliver me from being a winer or complainer so I can be a good example to my family, friends, and co-workers. In Your love and mercy, fill my heart with a spirit of patience like a farmer who must wait for the land to yield its valuable crop. Bless me Lord with Your patience that I may inherit Your promises.

Oh, how we need patience
In our busy world today;
We have so many things to do
There's hardly time to pray.

Our calendars are so filled
That when we need to help a friend,
We find our patience running short-
Our schedules just won't bend.

Father, help me to be flexible,
And always follow Your lead,
As I help my friends
In their time of need.

I pray I'd have a tender heart
That will truly understand,
Willing to go the extra mile
For my fellowman.

May our priorities always be
What You'd have them to be-
The needs of others first-
The things of eternity.

Give me empathy, and patience
That comes only from You,
And help me to be Christ-like
In everything I do.
