Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
Prayer
I endure temptation by not yielding to it. Living LORD, don't let me compromise my integrity or character by placing myself in business or personal situations that lead to wrongdoing. You know my weaknesses O Lord, so please help me to discern the traps and snares that the enemy lays before me. Give me inner strength to resist temptation by fleeing from the sin that so easily besets me. I thank You for being my Friend, my Counselor, and my Crown. In Your wonderful name I pray.
What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged:
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful,
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
take it to the Lord in prayer!
