I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11 NKJV
Prayer
God gives the Holy Spirit to those that ask Him. Heavenly Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus and ask You to baptize me today with Your Holy Spirit. I surrender my life into Your hands and repent of my pride and disobedience. Purify my heart, mind, and body from all impurities with the fire of Your Holy Spirit. Liberate me from all fear and fill me with Your Holy Spirit of power, love, and a disciplined mind that I may be zealous in doing those things that honor Your name. Lord Jesus, teach me to walk in the Spirit so I can experience newness of life in 2011. I'm thankful for all that You have done for me in 2010 and pray in Your holy name. Amen.
