Praise from God-John 12:43

Today's encouraging Bible verse compels us to be God-lovers by being God-pleasers in a world that rejects Jesus. As the Apostle Paul tells us, if you want to please men and women you cannot please God. Whose glory do you seek and want most? 


But many people believed in Jesus. Even many of the Jewish leaders believed in him, but they were afraid of the Pharisees, so they did not say openly that they believed. They were afraid they would be ordered to stay out of the synagogue. They loved praise from people more than praise from God. John 12:42-43 ERV



Today's Prayer

I will not be ashamed of Jesus. Forgive me O Lord for my cowardliness in standing up for Your truth for fear of rejection. Deliver me from seeking the praise of men and make me a God-pleaser who is courageous for the gospel of Christ regardless of public ridicule or personal persecution. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
