God helping me-Joshua 14:12

"God helps those who help themselves." You have probably heard this quote many times from family or friends, however, nowhere in the Bible is this quote ever stated. God wants you to use the talents, gifts and abilities He has given you, but remember that you are a limited human being and your strength and help come from the LORD. One of the greatest prayers is life is "Help me God".

Bible verse for strength: Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites (giants) were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.” Joshua 14:12 NIV

Today's Prayer

The Lord helps those who trust in Him. Heavenly Father, I come before Your throne of grace where I find mercy and help in time of need. Fill my heart with confidence and grant me the necessary strength to drive out the giants of fear, doubt and pessimism from my mind and heart. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus.
