Still strong-Joshua 14:11

"I feel old and weak." Unfortunately, this is the mindset of most old gray haired people today. Why? Because we live in a modern society that devalues the elderly who get weaker by the day and eventually die. Where does your strength and help come from? What value does your life have as you get older? Is aging or sickness taking a toll in destroying your confidence and self-worth? Mediate and believe the verse for today which reveals the great truth that Caleb came to know: "Aging will not wither my strength and my life has great significance in the hands of God."

Bible verse for the elderly and discouraged: “Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me (Caleb) alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. Joshua 14:10-11NIV

Today's Prayer

I am strong in the LORD and my confidence will not wither with aging. Help me hang in there Lord Jesus and don't let aging deplete my ability to bear fruit and make a positive impact in the lives of others. Like Caleb, I pray that you make me strong today as I was when I was 20 years old. Fill my heart with vigor to fight the good fight of faith until my last breath on this earth. I pray this in Your victorious name.
