What is true wisdom? Websters dictionary defines wisdom as: "Accumulated knowledge or enlightenment; The trait of utilizing knowledge and experience with common sense and insight;" The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:30 that wisdom is Christ Jesus; "It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us
wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." Today's verse reveals the profound truth about wisdom that comes by fearing God and having a deep respect for Him. Before I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life, I never thought about the fear God. Today is different, I'm learning the wonderful joy of fearing God in my life by being obedient to His word that never fails me. If Jesus has given you a new life, be wise by choosing to fear Him and doing those things that bring honor to His name. In JAMES 1:5 we read - "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking."

Prayer
for wisdom
He who holds God in reverence (deep respect) is wise. Lord God, I kneel before Thee and confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I recognize that everything I need and everything I want in life is found in Jesus. Holy Spirit, open my eyes and please give me wisdom from above that I may shun evil and grow in understanding by always doing what is pleasing before the eyes of my Father and Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name I pray.
