Holy Scripture of day about empty jars filled with oil

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. 2 Kings 4:1-7 NIV

Prayer for God to fill me with His oil

I'm amazed loving Lord how over and over You perform miracles for people in dire circumstances like You did for this widow woman. Thank You for always giving more than what I ask, think or deserve in Christ Jesus. I come as an empty vessel and ask You to fill me with the oil of light, gladness and Your unfailing love so I can be a source of hope to my family and people in the marketplace who are dealing with a serious crisis and need to witness Your wonder working power. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
