Holy Scripture of the day about not being disturbed by the words or actions of others

After King Hezekiah’s officials delivered the king’s message to Isaiah, the prophet replied, “Say to your master, ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not be disturbed by this blasphemous speech against me from the Assyrian king’s messengers. Listen! I myself will move against him, and the king will receive a message that he is needed at home. So he will return to his land, where I will have him killed with a sword.’” 2 Kings 19:5-7 NLT

Prayer for God's peace when I feel disturbed

I thank You Lord Jesus for reminding me through this promise that You have complete control over all problems or personal attacks that I face in life. I come to cast my burdens upon You, the One who the winds and seas obey. Teach me Holy Spirit to turn my eyes upon on Jesus, looking fully at His wonderful face, and the problems I face on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. Lord, lead me to someone today who feels disturbed by bad news or insulting threats and needs to experience Your perfect peace. I pray in Your mighty name, Lord Jesus.
