This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard: Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people—that they would become a curse and be laid waste—and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 2 Kings 22:18-19 NIV

Prayer to God who hears our prayers

Hear my cry Sovereign LORD for I believe all things are in Your control and nothing is too hard for You. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin with the blood of Jesus. Teach me Holy Spirit how to model a responsive and humble heart like Jesus who is passionate in doing what's right before the eyes of God. Stir me to come before the presence of God to intercede for others so they are delivered from the curse of sin and a wasteful life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
