They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” Mark 9:33-35 NLT

Prayer to be great by being the servant of all

Thank You Lord Jesus for Your example in giving up Your place of divine supremacy and taking on the form of a servant as a human being. Teach me Holy Spirit how to model the humility and greatness of Jesus by being a servant of all. Deliver me from having a me-first mindset so I learn to have a caring heart that focuses on the needs of people who are around me. I pray in the precious name of Jesus.
