A long time passed and that king of Egypt died. But the Israelites were still forced to work very hard. They cried for help, and God heard them. God heard their painful cries and remembered the agreement he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the troubles of the Israelites, and he knew that he would soon help them. Exodus 2:23-25 ERV 

Belief: I will cry out to God who knows my troubles and will help me. 

Prayer of the day

Hear me, O LORD, for Your lovingkindness is inexhaustible. I cast my worries upon You and thank You for being my refuge and strength in time of trouble. Holy Spirit, teach me to trust in God when I face challenges or hardships that He uses to help increase my confidence in Him. Bring someone across my path today who is in pain and is crying out for help. Allow me the opportunity to remind them that God knows their affliction, and hears their cry. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
