As Samson and his parents were going down to Timnah, a young lion suddenly attacked Samson near the vineyards of Timnah. At that moment the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat. But he didn’t tell his father or mother about it. Judges 14:5-6 NLT

Prayer of the day about the Spirit of God is upon you

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for sending the Holy Spirit to be my Helper. No longer am I a slave of sin. No longer do I have to cave into the lies of satan, the lion who seeks to devour me. Holy Spirit, strengthen me with power in my inner being so I can be a faithful witness for Christ Jesus in the marketplace. Lead me to someone today who is feeling weak and vulnerable. Allow me to pray with them so they can experience the miraculous power that You freely give to those who call upon the name of Jesus. In His mighty name, I pray.
