When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn on you, even people in your own family. There is a great irony here: proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don’t quit. Don’t cave in. It is all well worth it in the end. It is not success you are after in such times but survival. Be survivors! Before you’ve run out of options, the Son of Man will have arrived. Matthew 10:21-23 MSG

Prayer  for today

I come to you for strength Lord Jesus and thank You for lifting me up and carrying me upon Your shoulders when I face adversity. Holy Spirit, help me to keep pressing ahead and to never give up when I encounter hatred for being a follower of Christ. Let the love and peace of Jesus rule my heart. Please remind me that God’s grace is more than enough for me, for His power is made perfect in my weakness. Guide a believer across my path today that is disheartened and feels like throwing in the towel. Use me to be a source of strength to renew their faith and remain faithful to Jesus until the end.
