From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Matthew 16:21

Prayer to conquer the fear of death through faith in Jesus

I’m in awe Lord Jesus that You willingly laid down Your life to be killed by religious leaders, Roman soldiers, and sinners. I don't understand why it had to be this way, however, I believe that You have conquered sin and destroyed the sting of death to give me and all humanity the hope of eternal life. Thank You, thank You, thank You! Lead me Holy Spirit to someone today who is gripped by fear and the terror of dying. Use me to be a source of comfort by sharing the infallible truth that Jesus has triumphed over death and will raise us up from the grave unto everlasting life. Free them from the mental and emotional stress of death in the mighty name of Jesus.
