The women, deep in wonder and full of joy, lost no time in leaving the tomb. They ran to tell the disciples. Then Jesus met them, stopping them in their tracks. “Good morning!” He said. They fell to their knees, embraced His feet, and worshiped Him. Jesus said, “You’re holding on to Me for dear life! Don’t be frightened like that. Go tell My brothers that they are to go to Galilee, and that I’ll meet them there.” Matthew 28:8-10 MSG

Prayer for today

It’s amazing O Lord, to see how You show up at the perfect time to give all who believe in You unfailing hope when things look hopeless. Strengthen my faith Holy Spirit and renew my hope by reminding me that Jesus has conquered the grave and goes before me and will be there to help me when I hit rock bottom. Guide me to someone today who is hurting and frightened by the fear of the unknown. Let me be a source of compassionate care and comfort by reminding them that Jesus has gone before us and will meet us there. In Jesus'mighty name I pray.
