PRESIDENTS' DAY: Pray for all who are in high positions - 1 Timothy 2:2

The holy scripture for today about praying for our kings/presidents and all who are in high positions 

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Prayer for our president and national leaders

You O LORD control the course of world events. You remove kings and set up other kings. All the rulers of nations are considered less than nothing compared to You. Your word commands us to supplicate and intercede for our president, officials, and all who are in high positions. I ask You to bless our local and national leaders with wisdom, compassion, unity of heart, and direction so they rightly govern our country. I believe in Your promise that says if Your people, which are called by Your name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways, then You will hear from heaven and will heal our land. Heal our country O LORD in Jesus' holy name.
