FORTRESS: God is your fortress and your refuge in times of trouble - Psalm 59:16

The word of truth for today about God is your fortress and your refuge in times of trouble

But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16 NIV

Prayer to feel safe and secure in times of trouble

I feel safe and find security in an ever-changing world filled with all manner of uncertainty by remembering that God is my fortress and ever-present help in times of trouble. Stir me, Holy Spirit, to immediately flee to God my fortress and learn to sing songs of His love through worship and praise. Please guide me to someone today who is in a marital or family crisis and needs my support. Fill me with the compassion and grace of Christ so I can be a blessing by influencing them to trust in God, our fortress. I ask in Jesus' mighty name.

To my loving and patient wife, Michele, my beloved son David, my radiant daughter-in-law Blair, my cherished son Joshua, my compassionate daughter Anna, my steadfast son-in-law, Jeff, my empathetic daughter Christina, my go-getter son-in-law Miles, my bright and persevering granddaughter, Blake, my beautiful and tenderhearted granddaughter, Zoey, my strong and handsome grandson, Wyatt, my tender-hearted and precious granddaughter Talia, my jubilant and adorable granddaughter, Romi, and to all of my caring family and faithful friends. I will consider my life a great success if I have the joy of seeing each of you in God's eternal Kingdom. I ask you to please forgive me if I've wronged any of you and did not ask for your forgiveness. I love you and pray my life has influenced each of you in a small way to believe in Christ Jesus and to accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior. I'm grateful to my Lord and humbled to have experienced an abundant and full life that was only possible by abiding in Him. It's difficult to put into words just how grateful I am for God's salvation. When I was 18 years old and lost all hope, Jesus came to my rescue. I'm so thankful that I've been able to experience the power and presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment I accepted Christ and decided to follow Him. The Holy Spirit has been my Helper, Teacher, Comforter, Counselor, and Guide in teaching me to be like Jesus and relying on Him, until my last breath. I fought the good fight and learned that living for God, serving Jesus, and loving people has eternal rewards and zero regrets. To live for Christ is unimaginable gain and glorifying God is what matters most in life. Apart from Jesus, nothing else made much sense to me in life, and nothing else the world offered was worthy of my life's investment. To die in Christ is not the end, it's the doorway in Eternal Life through the power of His resurrection. I'll see you in a little while and pray to see you in heaven. Hector Perez.
