Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” Luke 17:11-19 NIV

Praise and Prayer for healing in Jesus' Name 

Master Jesus, I kneel before Your scarred feet of compassion like this leper to thank and praise You for my healing. For so many years I felt sick, unloved, and discarded like this leper who hung out with his ten sick friends that felt irremediable. You heard my cry for mercy. You stopped and saw my pain. You came from heaven and traversed my way to take my sin (leprosy) and shame (transgressions) upon Your body on the cross so that I might die to sins, and live for righteousness. By Your wounds, I have been healed! Please guide me, Holy Spirit, to someone today who feels like a leper and is battling a spiritual, mental, emotional, or physical sickness. Open their eyes to see and believe in Christ Jesus, who brought us holistic (whole; complete; entire) healing. I pray for their spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical healing in Jesus' mighty name!
