For the Scriptures say, "If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and His ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns His face against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:10-12 NLT

SONG LYRICS: "HIS EYE IS UPON THE SPARROW" by Keith & Kristyn Getty

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

Praise & Prayer of gratitude for God's eye upon my life

Loving Father, I praise You for watching over me and caring for me when my life seemed pointless. For too many years, I felt like a sparrow locked up in a cage until Jesus found me and set me free. Lord Jesus, I thank You for speaking truth into my heart when You told me God created me to fly. I ask You to please keep Your vigilant eyes on me until the day I cross the finish line and see You face to face. Holy Spirit, please give me a hunger and thirst to do what is right in God's eyes. Teach me to think before speaking so nothing evil or hurtful comes from my lips. Guide someone across my path today who feels forgotten by God and family. Use my care as a strong reminder that God is watching over them. I pray for their faith to be revived in Jesus' mighty name.
