If you’re abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It’s the Spirit of God and His glory in you that brought you to the notice of others. If they’re on you because you broke the law or disturbed the peace, that’s a different matter. But if it’s because you’re a Christian, don’t give it a second thought. Be proud of the distinguished status reflected in that Name! 1 Peter 4:14-16 MSG
POEM: "WHEN I SAY I AM A CHRISTIAN" by Carol Wimmer.
I’m not shouting, “I’ve been saved!”
I’m whispering, “I get lost sometimes
That’s why I chose this way”
I don’t speak with human pride
I’m confessing that I stumble –
needing God to be my guide
I’m not trying to be strong
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry on
I’m not bragging of success
I’m admitting that I’ve failed
and cannot ever pay the debt
I don’t think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
asking humbly to be taught
I’m not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
but God believes I’m worth it
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache
which is why I seek God’s name
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority
I only know I’m loved

Praise & Prayer to be unashamed of Christ
I'm honored, Lord Jesus, to say I am a Christian who loves, follows, and obeys You. No matter where I am from, no matter what my education is, and no matter what type of socioeconomic status I have accomplished, it's my identity with You that makes my life prominent, noteworthy, and complete. Please teach me, Holy Spirit, how to reflect through my conduct and communication the attributes of Christ to my family members or people in the marketplace who are agnostic. Strengthen my courage and never let me be ashamed if I'm ridiculed or rejected for being a Christ-follower. Thank You for being my Teacher, Guide, Helper, and Counselor in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
