PROPITIATION: God sent His Son to be the propitiation for your sins - 1 John 4:10

The word of freedom for today about God sending His Son to be the propitiation for your sins - Click HERE to read more about the meaning of propitiation.

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10 NKJV

What is Propitiation? Propitiation is appeasement or satisfaction, specifically toward God. Christ is the "propitiation for our sins" by becoming our substitute and assuming our debts. He appeased and expiated God's wrath by covering our sins with His blood, His sufferings, and the punishment He endured on the cross.

Praise & Prayer of gratitude for God's propitiation

Thank You, Abba Father, for Your everlasting love. I praise You, Lord Jesus, for propitiating my sins and saving me from God's wrath that I rightly deserved. There are no words to express the gratefulness I feel in my heart for Your sacrificial love. Please use me this day Holy Spirit to help someone who is being conquered by shame and feels unworthy, unlovable, and rejected. Soften their heart and open their ears to hear the glad tidings of God's love and propitiation through His Son. I pray for their deliverance in the mighty name of Christ Jesus, my Savior. Amen!
