“I have never coveted anyone’s silver or gold or fine clothes. You know that these hands of mine have worked to supply my own needs and even the needs of those who were with me. And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:33-34 NLT

Psalm 37:25 - "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the godly forsaken or their children begging for bread." - David, King of Israel.

Praise & Prayer to be a happy and generous giver like Jesus 
Gracious Savior, I am humbled by Your endless generosity. With deep gratitude, I bow before Your presence to praise You for GIVING YOUR ALL at the cross to save a sinner like me. I want to model Your heart of generosity by being a hard worker and cheerful giver rather than a lazy taker. Holy Spirit, please teach me to rely upon our Father and Lord Jesus so I give selflessly, without expecting anything in return from those I bless with my time, money, or talents. Prevent me from becoming a Scrooge or hoarder who thinks that giving away money or possessions leads to poverty. Bring to my remembrance what Jesus told the disciples when He said; 'Look at the birds of the air. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for Your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?''  Please place a family member, friend, or stranger in my path today who may require assistance with a physical need or personal challenge, Use my care and generosity to strengthen their faith in my Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name I pray.
