Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor? James 4:11-12 NIV
Infallible Truth: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil." 2 Corinthians 5:10; "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so, the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." John 5:21-23; "Jesus answered them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed. But because Moses gave you circumcision, you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath (not that it is from Moses, but from the patriarchs.) If a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses will not be broken, why are you angry with Me for making the whole man well on the Sabbath? Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.” John 7:21-24
Prayer & Praise
Merciful Father, please forgive me, a sinner, for the many times I have often judged people by outward appearances, spoken ill of individuals who disagreed with my beliefs, or judged others who have transgressed Your laws. I praise You for reminding me through Your living word that You alone are the Lawgiver and Judge who determines people's destiny. Holy Spirit, please make me aware and deliver me from behaviors that make me appear judgmental. Teach me to honor God and my Lord Jesus by being mindful of my words to earn people's respect and have opportunities to share the good news of Christ, our Savior, who will end all sin, death, and pain. I pray in His mighty name.
March through books of the Bible and meditate on the verse and prayer of the day to help strengthen your faith and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Loving people with compassionate care and pointing them to Christ our Savior is how you will be a soul winner and bring glory of God.
