Holy Week: An event that occurred on Wednesday (two days before Christ's crucifixion)
Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While He was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured it over His head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. “What a waste!” they said. “It could have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.” But Jesus, aware of this, replied, “Why criticize this woman for doing such a good thing to Me? You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have Me. She has poured this perfume on Me to prepare My body for burial. I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.” Matthew 26:6-13
Praise & Worship:

I will remember what my Savior did for me, and He remembers all that I do for Him. I come with offerings of praise and worship, Lord Jesus, like this woman who poured out a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume over Your head and prepared Your body for burial. Thank You for going to the cross and laying down Your life unto death so I could be forgiven of my sins and have an inseparable relationship with God our Father and You for all eternity. Let me be a vessel that pours out the precious perfume of Your love, grace, mercy, and truth, Mighty Savior, by sharing the Good News of salvation with shattered and hopeless souls. Please strengthen my courage, Holy Spirit, to persevere in faith when I face criticism for being a child of God and a disciple of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
