Prayer
God's word never fails me. Loving Father, I want to be a blessed Christian that trusts in Your faithful promises and delights in Your word by meditating on it day and night. As 2009 comes to an end, I ask You to please speak Your words to me that I may be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf also does not wither. Make my heart a worthy depository of Your living word that enriches my life with unceasing hope and persevering faith. In the name of Jesus I pray

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe You alone are the answer to all of my needs. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins and rising again from the dead to redeem me with Your precious blood. I belong to You and surrender my life into Your hands. I come before You as my Redeemer and claim the promise of Your word, that "whosoever calls on Your name shall be saved". As I come to end of 2009, I ask You to save me Lord Jesus from a life of defeat. Teach me to live in Your victory and overcome the powers of sin and evil in 2010 by relying on the power of Your precious blood. In Your wonderful name I pray.

The fundamental fact of faith is trusting in God. Merciful Father, I know it's impossible to please You apart from faith. I approach Your throne this morning believing that You exist and that You care enough to respond to me whenever I call upon You. Honor my mustard seed faith so I can say to any trial or mountain in my life, 'Move from here to there' and it shall move.

Help me to stand in faith when I feel like I can't face another day. Help me to stand in faith even when tears of sorrow flow from my eyes. Help me to stand in faith in my sickness by drawing near and touching the hem of Your garment. Help me to stand in faith by persevering in prayer when I am stressed at work.
